The profile of Nuertingen-Geislingen University (NGU), in German “Hochschule fuer Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen (HfWU)”, is based on the principles of sustainability. The university’s main research and teaching focus lies on four areas of competence: Business and Economics as well as Landscape Planning and Agriculture.
More than 5000 students are enrolled across the 31 Bachelor- and Master programmes (16 bachelor and 15 postgraduate master), four of which are taught in English. The study programmes of Nuertingen-Geislingen University are greatly enhanced by the strong core competence in business, economics and environmental studies prevalent at the university. NGU is proud to run exchange and integrated study programs with around 100 partner universities worldwide.
NGU’s competence in agricultural research is highlighted through numerous inter- and transdisciplinary research projects of the Institute of Applied Agricultural Research (IAAF). IAAF’s main research focus is on sustainable natural resource use and the optimization of production processes and framework conditions for viable farming systems. IAAF encompasses the activities of professors from 10 different disciplines. It is dedicated to applied research and to the cooperation with the private agribusiness sector.
NGU is embedded in one of the strongest innovative economic regions of Europe with close ties to global players and successful SME´s. The university`s faculties possess a service-sector bias with services in agribusiness, landscape architecture, environmental design and city planning as well as in business management, applied economics, finance and real estate management.

Warsaw University of Life Sciences is the oldest agricultural university and one of the largest universities in Poland. It is also one of the most modern universities, where tradition and modernity meet. The University offers a wide range of study programs - from biological and technical ones, through veterinary medicine, economics and humanities. WULS-SGGW offers good facilities and infrastructure in one place. On the 65-hectare main campus there are 9 dormitories, a modern library, a computer centre, a sports centre (with tennis courts, a sports hall and a swimming pool) a language centre, a veterinary clinic and much more. The campus is located in the southern part of Warsaw and can be easily reached from the city centre by subway or by bus. Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) is one of leading educational and research centres for agrarian sector, forestry, environment, economics and management, informatics, rural and regional development in the Czech Republic. It consists of six faculties (Agrobiology, Food & Natural Resources; Economics & Management; Engineering; Environmental Sciences; Forestry & Wood Sciences; Tropical AgriSciences) and one institute (Education & Communication). CZU offers bachelor, master and doctoral education for about 18,000 students, 5,000 international students from more than 110 countries; about 800 students study PhD. study programmes). Study programmes address the whole agri-food chain but also leisure activities related to nature (e.g. horse breeding, dog breeding or game management) or rural development. Programmes with education in economics and management or cultural studies are in great demand. The university provides education in information science, ecology and environmental studies, utilization of natural resources, landscape protection and landscape architecture, spatial planning or technologies and machinery used in life sciences (incl., agriculture, food and forestry). The university also organizes studies in forestry and wood processing. A special segment of education is represented by programmes in tropical agriculture. About one third of the study programmes is taught in English with more than 3,000 students involved. Research activities and PhD. programmes of the university target the focus areas of the faculties under the umbrella of bioeconomy. They are concentrated in 6 research pillars reflecting UN Sustainable Development Goals: (a) food safety and food sovereignty, (b) smart technologies, (c) bioeconomy, circular economy and clean energy, (d) health, landscape protection and natural resources, (e) climate change and disturbance reactions, (f) rural and uran resilience. In 2018 the university was scrutinized by Czech university accreditation agency as for its quality assurance system and received the institutional accreditation confirming university meets all standards of quality assurance.

German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture is a centre of expertise for transdisciplinary research for development and transformation in social ecological land-use systems worldwide. It specialises in innovation in agriculture and livestock-based food and farming systems in highly heterogeneous and variable environments.
DITSL contributes to promoting food and income security, and sustainable value chain development in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It employs an actor-oriented approach to integrate the perspectives, interests and capacities of different societal actors and to co-create contextual knowledge and options for actions to mitigate or solve complex problems.
DITSL does methodological, conceptual and applied research to foster innovation processes. This includes system analysis, knowledge management, knowledge integration and co-creation, gender analysis, multi-stakeholder processes, collaborative learning and action research.
DITSL generates decision support for society and policy and supports capacity building through academic, professional and extracurricular education and training programmes.

The history of establishment and development of agricultural higher educational institution in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) begins with the opening of the agricultural faculty at Yakut State University (Order of the USSR Ministry of Higher Education No. 685 of August 28, 1956). In 1985, on basis of this faculty, Yakut Agricultural Institute was created, which in 1995 was transformed into Yakut State Agricultural Academy. In 2020, the Academy acquired the status of a University. Currently, Arctic State Agrotechnological University implements 20 undergraduate programs, 1 specialist program, 11 master programs, 8 PhD programs, and 10 programs of secondary vocational education. The total number of students at the university is 4156, of which 32 are PhD students.
The university has a bioclonal and molecular genetic laboratory, as well as an educational and scientific testing laboratory. The laboratories have BacTrac 4300, the only apparatus in the republic for conducting accelerated microbiological studies of food raw materials, food products and other objects of the external environment.
The university has its own scientific journal - "Vestnik of ASAU". Founded in 1957, S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University is the largest agricultural and technical university in the Republic of Kazakhstan. On September 1, 2020, by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the non-profit joint-stock company "S. Seifullin Kazakh AgrotechnicalUniversity" was assigned the status of a research one. The university includes A.I.Baraeva Scientific and Production Center for Grain Farming , North Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station, Kazakh Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry for scientific research and practical training of students. Founded in 1996, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University is an elite university of innovative type, the leader of the agricultural sector in Kazakhstan, Central and Central Asia.
KazNARU successfully implements three-level training of specialists: 48 bachelor's degree programs, 126 master's degree programs and 35 PhD programs.
KazNARU consists of seven research institutes and six faculties. The total number of students represents 8,950, including 217 PhD students. There is carried out joint trainings of undergraduates and PhD students within the framework of the integration of education, science and production in the following areas as agriculture, agricultural system of the future, crop production, fruit and vegetable production, plant protection and quarantine, soil science and agrochemistry, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, food production, economics, management, fisheries, agroengineering.
There has been introduced the trilingual education, where the summer and winter schools are held in 14 directions. Joint degree programs are being implemented with 11 leading universities in the world. Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding with Wageningen University (Netherlands), an agreement was signed on joint training by two Wageningen educational programs as «Veterinary and food safety and technology" and "Plant Science and Technology".
The Council of Young Scientists of KazNARU became the winner and got the title of "The Best Council of Young Scientists" of the N.Nazarbayev Foundation among the universities of the country.

Zhangir Khan University is a well-known state multidisciplinary university that carries out educational and scientific activities, provides advanced training and retraining of personnel for the agricultural and industrial sectors of the economy, actively influences the development of the economy of the region and the country as a whole. National Centre for Public Accreditation (hereinafter – NCPA) was founded in December 2009 by the Guild of Experts in Higher Education.The main areas of activities are international and public accreditation of higher and further education programmes.
NCPA is the only independent accrediting organization in Russia which is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA); NCPA is officially registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Register (APQR). NCPA is authorized to conduct international accreditation and make an entry of the accredited programmes to the Database of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (DEQAR).

IAAR is a leading international accreditation agency in the field of accreditation of higher, technical and vocational, and additional education, created in 2011 with the aim of improving the quality assurance education system. IAAR is included in the Register of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. IAAR is recognised as an accreditation body and is included in the National Register of the Kyrgyz Republic.IAAR conducts institutional and specialised (programme) accreditation of universities in 11 countries of Europe and Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.
IAAR is the first and only organisation from the CIS countries to be recognised by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). This gives IAAR the right to conduct international accreditation of medical organisations and educational programmes.
IAAR is included in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), which allows for international accreditation of universities.

The Russian Academy of Sciences was established on February 8, 1724, by order of Emperor Peter I. On November 21, 1991, the Russian Academy of Sciences was reconstituted as the highest scientific institution in Russia.The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is a state academy of sciences, an organization of science that carries out scientific management of scientific research in the Russian Federation and conducts scientific research. On the territory of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences is the legal successor of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The Academy is the legal successor of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The main objective of the Russian Academy of Sciences is to conduct and develop fundamental research aimed at obtaining new knowledge about the laws of nature, society, and human development and contributing to the technological, economic, social, and spiritual development of Russia.

The task of scientific councils (commissions) on the most significant problems of scientific research is:
- to analyze the state of research in the relevant fields and directions of science;
- to participate in the coordination of scientific research conducted by institutions and organizations of various departmental subordination.
Members of scientific councils that are scientific-consulting bodies working of one's own free will include leading scientists of the Academy of Sciences, branch academies, employees of higher educational institutes, and representatives of ministries, departments, and organizations that are involved in the solution of the respective problem. The scientific boards contribute to the achievements of fundamental science and the results of research promotion and development into practice.
Implementation of tasks of international cooperation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is based on the realization and improvement of activities in the sphere of science diplomacy and ensuring participation of RAS and institutions within the RAS structure in the creation of the Russian contribution to the global scientific and science and technology business of the meeting achieving leading positions in the international academic community and implementation of programs and projects aimed at further integration of the Russian Federation in the world scientific, technological, innovative and fruitful cooperation.

National Agrarian Science Educational Center (NASEC) is a single operator of sustainable interaction of scientific and educational institutions of the agrarian sphere of Kazakhstan with the state and business.NASEC’s mission is to contribute to the innovative development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, including the introduction of innovative approaches in agriculture for increasing the yield of breeds, the creation of demonstration sites on the basis of pilot farms for the approbation and the introduction of new technologies, the local and foreign research for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, the strengthening and further development of the scientific environment in the agrarian sphere.
To implement its mission, NASEC carries out the following activities:

National agrarian science educational center, with state support, has begun implementing systematic measures for the scientific and technological development of the agro-industrial complex. This is facilitated by a new management model for agrarian science, which is based on best international practice in accordance with the principles of corporate governance, openness and transparency. National agrarian science educational center works on the principles of accessibility of information on scientific achievements and is open to all participants in innovation activities in the agro-industrial complex.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is a federal executive body responsible for the development of state policy and normative-legal regulation in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex, market of agricultural products, raw materials, and food, food and processing industry, sustainable development of rural areas, as well as land relations in terms of agricultural land. The Ministry coordinates and controls the activities of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) and the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo), which are under its jurisdiction.The Ministry has the following functions:
- development of state policy and legal regulation in the field of agro-industrial complex, including animal husbandry (including breeding of domesticated species and breeds of fish included in the State Register of Protected Breeding Achievements), veterinary medicine, circulation of medicines for veterinary use, crop production, plant quarantine, land reclamation, soil fertility, regulation of the market of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs, food and processing industry, production and circulation of tobacco products, sustainable development of rural areas;
- state policy in the field of wine, confectionery, canned food, pasta, fat and oil, butter and cheese, dairy, flour and cereals, meat, brewing, horticultural, poultry, fish, sugar, salt, alcohol, tobacco, baking, and soft drinks industries;
- development and implementation of state policy and normative-legal regulation in the sphere of land relations (as far as agricultural lands are concerned), state monitoring of such lands
- provision of state services in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex, including sustainable development of rural areas;
- management of state property in subordinate enterprises and institutions.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is a member of the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations Apimondia.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is currently implementing the following state programs:
- State Program of the Russian Federation "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas;
- State Program for the Effective Involvement of Agricultural Land and Development of the Land Reclamation Complex of the Russian Federation;
- State program for the development of agriculture;
- Development of the fishery complex;
- Federal scientific and technical program for the development of agriculture for 2017-2030.
To develop international cooperation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has been implementing a "Comprehensive Program for Russia's Participation in International Cooperation in Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security" since 2010.
